A comfortable, slightly casual look for the Friday before a long weekend #friyay!

Oh the Friday before a long weekend. It’s hard to get any work done…hard not to think about the long weekend just around the corner. I ended up working late. *sigh* But it’s ok. I was working in a comfortable outfit today!

Finally let me hair down for this picture!

I’m wearing a high-waisted tight-fitting midi-skirt by Max Studio today. It’s a very comfortable jersey cotton material and while it’s tight fitting and hugs my curves, it doesn’t “feel” tight at all. It’s got a ton of stretch in the fabric.

You can kind of see my blue glass ring in the picture. An inexpensive purchase from Pier 1 Imports (of all places!)

I know they say horizontal stripes make you look wider but I don’t feel that’s the case with this skirt. Maybe it’s the size of the stripes or their distance from one another but in any case, it works for this skirt. And you know what else works? Oh, I dunno… a $10 price tag! Yeah, that works too! 🙂

A little view from the other side

The top, a tank top, is pretty standard fair. A dark navy blue that matches the navy blue of the skirt. I got this from Banana Republic for only $5 when it was like 50% off the already reduced $10 price tag.

The necklace was the most expensive part of my outfit today! I bought it from Nordstrom Rack.

I opted for a pair of beige/tan wedge heels by Naya. This brand used to make a plethora of size 12 shoes and then they suddenly stopped. I love the brand. Beautiful and comfortable leather shoes that last through my harsh steps. Oh well, their loss, I suppose.
